Toxic Parenting

Although it is believed that adults are more mature than their children and that parents always know what they are doing, what practice shows is that these parents often do not have the necessary emotional structure to meet the needs of their own children, which generates negative effects on the development and also on the adult life of these children. The idea that parents can be toxic is still something very new, especially in Brazilian society, where religious issues make it very difficult to objectively observe parents' behaviors and also because this deeper analysis can generate feelings of guilt and a sense of betrayal.
